The City of Grosse Pointe is the smallest of the five Pointes and the most walkable, with the Village shopping district on Kercheval as the retail heart of the whole Pointes — angled street parking and a municipal lot — and Neff Park on the lake. The lots are compact, with many detached garages down narrow alleys. Cars parked in the Kercheval lots and side streets while people shop or work is exactly where a mobile van can do the whole job. Our mobile technicians meet your vehicle with direct insurance claim handling and a lifetime warranty on every installation.
The Village, Neff Park, and Compact Lots — Shop and Mobile Service
The City of Grosse Pointe is the smallest of the five Pointes and the most walkable — with the Village shopping district on Kercheval as the retail heart of the whole Pointes, angled street parking and a municipal lot, and Neff Park on the lake.
The lots are compact, with many detached garages down narrow alleys, so a mobile van coming to the vehicle is the practical option. A chip caught early is a 30-minute resin repair that preserves the factory seal; left alone it spreads into a crack that needs a full replacement.
The Smallest Pointe, the Village, and a Car Parked While You Shop
The City of Grosse Pointe's shape — the smallest and most walkable of the five, with the Village on Kercheval, a municipal lot, Neff Park on the lake, compact lots, and detached garages down narrow alleys — sets the pattern for every mobile glass call here. The damage comes off Jefferson and Mack, and the work happens in the Kercheval lot or on the side street while you shop or work.
The Village on Kercheval
The Village shopping district on Kercheval is the retail heart of the whole Pointes, with angled street parking and a municipal lot. A lot of the cars here sit in those Kercheval lots and on the side streets while people shop or work — which is exactly where a mobile van can do the whole job. Tell us the lot or the street and you never have to move the car.
Neff Park & the Lake
Neff Park sits on the lake at the edge of the City, and the streets around it are tight and walkable. The through-traffic that throws up the stone chips runs on Jefferson Avenue and Mack Avenue, not on the residential lanes by the park. A chip caught early is a 30-minute resin repair that preserves the factory seal.
Compact Lots & Alley Garages
The City of Grosse Pointe is the smallest and most walkable of the five Pointes, with compact lots and many detached garages down narrow alleys. That tight footprint is the whole point of mobile service here — a van coming to the kerb, the lot, or the alley garage beats fighting the car out to a shop and back through the Village.

Learn More about Side Window ReplacementWe Come to the Kercheval Lot, the Side Street, or the Alley Garage
Because the City of Grosse Pointe is small and walkable with compact lots and detached garages down narrow alleys, the first thing we ask is where the vehicle sits — a kerbside spot on Kercheval, a stall in the Village municipal lot, or a detached garage down one of the alleys. Here is how a typical visit goes.
Tell Us the Lot or the Alley
Tell us your vehicle, the damage, and where in the City it sits — a kerbside spot on Kercheval, a stall in the Village municipal lot, or a detached garage down one of the narrow alleys. That tells our technician exactly what setup to bring and when to arrive. We will confirm same-day or next-day availability and verify your insurance coverage.
We Work Where the Vehicle Sits
Our technician comes to the vehicle and completes the repair or replacement right at the Kercheval lot, the side street, or the alley garage — no shop trip, and no need to move the car out of the Village. You go about your day, shopping or working.
Insurance Handled & Lifetime Warranty
We file your insurance claim directly — most customers pay nothing out of pocket. Every installation is backed by our lifetime workmanship warranty.
Every Make and Model — and the Cameras Behind the Glass
Skyview Auto Glass replaces glass for all makes and models, domestic and import.
All Makes & Models
We replace glass on every make and model, domestic and import. We use the brand names only to describe the vehicles we work on.
ADAS Camera Recalibration
A forward-facing camera mounted to the windshield needs recalibration after the glass is replaced, or the system may read the road incorrectly. We handle that recalibration as part of the windshield replacement, including BMW Driving Assistant, Mercedes-Benz Driver Assistance, Audi pre sense, Volvo Pilot Assist, Lexus Safety System+, Cadillac Super Cruise, Lincoln Active Glide, Ford Co-Pilot360, GM Super Cruise, Toyota Safety Sense, Honda Sensing, Subaru EyeSight, Nissan ProPILOT, Hyundai SmartSense, and Tesla Autopilot.
We are not affiliated with, or a dealer for, any vehicle manufacturer — we simply replace glass and recalibrate the cameras that sit behind it, on every make and model.

From the Village Out to Neff Park
The City of Grosse Pointe wraps around the Village shopping district on Kercheval — angled street parking and a municipal lot — with Neff Park on the lake at its edge and compact lots with detached garages down narrow alleys through the residential streets.
A chip caught early is a 30-minute resin repair that preserves the factory seal; left alone on a Jefferson or Mack commute it spreads into a crack that needs a full replacement.
Mobile Service at the Lot or Side Street
Our technician comes to your vehicle anywhere in the City of Grosse Pointe — a kerbside spot on Kercheval, a stall in the Village municipal lot, or a detached garage down one of the narrow alleys. No shop trip, no moving the car out of the Village.
Lifetime Warranty on Every Job
Every installation is backed by our written lifetime workmanship warranty against leaks, wind noise, and seal defects.
Insurance & Out-of-Pocket Both Welcome

Is there a Skyview Auto Glass shop in Grosse Pointe, and how does mobile service work?
Yes — Skyview Auto Glass Grosse Pointe is at 702 University Pl, Grosse Pointe, MI 48230. You can bring your vehicle to the shop, or our mobile technicians come to you. Our mobile technicians meet your vehicle wherever it sits in the City — a kerbside spot on Kercheval, a stall in the Village municipal lot, or a detached garage down one of the narrow alleys.
I am parked in the Village while I shop or work — can you do the whole job there?
Yes, and that is exactly the call the City of Grosse Pointe is built for. The Village shopping district on Kercheval is the retail heart of the whole Pointes, with angled street parking and a municipal lot, and a lot of the cars here sit in those Kercheval lots and side streets while people shop or work. Tell us which lot or street the vehicle is on and roughly where, and our mobile van sets up right there and does the whole job. You never have to move the car or leave the block.
My windshield got chipped on Jefferson or Mack — is that where it usually happens here?
Very likely. Jefferson Avenue and Mack Avenue carry the through-traffic in and out of the City, and the stone chips here come off those arteries at speed, not off a quiet residential lane. A chip caught early is a 30-minute resin repair that preserves the factory seal; left alone it spreads into a crack that needs a full replacement.
My garage is down a narrow alley and the lot is compact — can you still come to me at home?
Yes. The City of Grosse Pointe is the smallest and most walkable of the five Pointes, with compact lots and many detached garages down narrow alleys, so a mobile van coming to the vehicle is the practical option rather than asking you to fight the car out to a shop. Tell us the alley and the garage, and we route straight to it.
I drive a BMW with a driver-assist camera — can you replace the windshield and recalibrate it here?
Yes. The European and luxury marques common in the City of Grosse Pointe — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo, and Lexus, plus Cadillac and Lincoln — are right in the middle of what we do, along with the family crossovers and every make on the road. We replace the glass and recalibrate the forward-facing camera as part of the windshield replacement, including BMW Driving Assistant, Mercedes-Benz Driver Assistance, Audi pre sense, Volvo Pilot Assist, Lexus Safety System+, Cadillac Super Cruise, Ford Co-Pilot360, GM Super Cruise, Toyota Safety Sense, Honda Sensing, Subaru EyeSight, Nissan ProPILOT, Hyundai SmartSense, and Tesla Autopilot.
