Our Lifetime Warranty — what it covers and how to use it
Every installation and replacement Skyview Auto Glass performs carries a lifetime warranty. This page is the whole of it, in plain language.
What the warranty covers
- Leaks — water or air entering past the glass or the seal.
- Workmanship — the installation itself: glass seating, adhesive, moldings and trim as fitted by our technician.
- Wind noise — noise caused by how the glass was installed.
What it applies to
Every installation and every replacement we perform: windshields, back glass, door glass, vent and quarter glass, on shop jobs and mobile jobs alike.
It stays with the vehicle, not the owner
The warranty is tied to the vehicle's VIN. If you sell the vehicle, the warranty stays active and the new owner can use it.
How to make a claim
Email us or contact us directly. Any proof of service is enough to confirm the warranty — or simply give us the vehicle's VIN: our records are stored by VIN automatically, so we can look the job up for you.
A note about road noise and acoustic glass
Many vehicles are built with acoustic laminated glass — a windshield with a sound-dampening interlayer. If you choose replacement glass without that acoustic layer, you may notice more road noise than before. That is a property of the glass you selected, not a fault in the installation, and it is not a warranty matter. If quiet matters to you, ask for the acoustic option when we quote the glass for your VIN.
Wind noise versus road noise
Wind noise — a whistle or rush of air that comes from the glass or the seal — is covered under workmanship. Road noise — tire and pavement sound coming through non-acoustic glass — is not an installation defect. If you are not sure which you are hearing, contact us; we would rather look at it than have you guess.
