Your Right to Choose Your Glass Shop
Michigan. Michigan law (MCL 500.2110b) says an auto insurer “shall not unreasonably restrict” you from using the glass shop of your choice for glass repair or replacement covered by your policy, and if the insurer has an agreement with a particular shop it must tell you that you are under no obligation to use it. So in Michigan, you can ask for Skyview.

Chip Repair or Full Replacement?
Small chips can often be repaired instead of replacing the whole windshield, which preserves the factory seal and the original glass.
